WARDOGS PC performance settings guide

Start from the current requirements on Steam, then tune one variable at a time. This guide deliberately does not invent target frame rates, recommended presets, or VRAM figures: those values can change with a test build, driver, map, and resolution.

Establish a clean baseline

Install the current graphics driver, restart the PC, and close software that injects an overlay, records every frame, or changes display settings. Launch at your monitor's usual resolution with a conservative preset. Complete a short repeatable route before changing more than one setting.

Change settings by visual cost

Adjust options that affect visibility and frame pacing before cosmetic detail. Keep a note of the setting, the location tested, and whether the result changed during combat rather than only in a quiet menu. If a setting causes instability, return to the last stable configuration instead of stacking further changes.

Watch storage and background pressure

An almost-full drive, aggressive synchronisation, a browser full of video tabs, or a Windows update can look like a rendering problem. Check free disk space, memory pressure, and download activity before assigning a cause to the game.

Report useful evidence

When asking for help, include your processor, graphics card, operating system, driver version, display mode, and the exact point where performance changes. Screenshots of the settings screen are more helpful than a guessed "best settings" list.
